In the 1940s ancient scrolls were discovered in the caves surrounding the Dead Sea in Israel.  Finding these 8th century BCE parchments rocked the world for bible scholars worldwide. Archeologists kept digging deeper into the caves, which yielded an incredible amount of manuscripts and artifacts.

The Dead Sea caves had one more stunning artifact to reveal to the world.  It was so different and unusual from the other scrolls that researchers are still not sure what to make of it.  Imagine finding a scroll deeper in a cave than all the other scrolls and one that was engraved into a plate of copper.  One would think this scroll could be considered very important. However, for biblical scholars the Copper Scroll is a disappointment — it is nothing more than a treasure map.   The scroll details locations for numerous caches of gold and silver.  So much gold and silver is described in the artifact that experts believe the worth of the finds could total into tens of millions of dollars.  The Bible mentions the astounding wealth of Solomon, so the prospect of the religious leaders hiding vast amounts of gold and silver from the plunderers of the Jewish Temple is not unreasonable.

The Appointed Time story draws on the mystery and intrigue of the copper scroll and envelops the reader in a startling adventure to find the treasure. The characters in the story provide the heart and soul of the tale from an interesting perspective.  How do men with tactical engagement backgrounds interact with people of faith to achieve common goals?

Nothing of value ever comes easy.  This story includes adversaries that expend considerable effort to intercept and defeat the team of treasure seekers.   Along the way, the sojourners uncover something very important about the appointed time.

The best tales are derived from actual historical events and artifacts. Prepare yourself for a reading experience that moves quickly through a bold and exciting storyline.
